How to mend a broken heart

We all loved at a certain point in our life, we all got our hearts broken. When 2 people come together they usually do it for the right reasons: they look for that special one, for their soulmate, for the perfect life partner. Everyone wants love, at the end of the day that is the only real thing in life.

But what do you do when you give everything to the other person, thinking that he / she is the one and in one second everything falls apart? How do you manage that? How do you manage when somebody is taken away from you? When you breathe through the other person, you laugh, you cry, you share every little thing and then one morning you wake up and boom…it is empty. And so are you.

There is no point in describing how it feels, we all have been there. There is a speechless grief that tears you apart, a pain that you feel in each and every part of your body. And the part that hurts the most is the realization that is really over; that person really left and they are never coming back.

You cannot stop the love, it’s very natural. Accept the pain. The truth is that if you loved enough to be heartbroken, you will experience some suffering. Don’t blame yourself and do not hate the other person. Love them, wish them well and move on. There will be days that you will not want to get out of bed, thinking that if you sleep enough it will all turn out to be just a bad dream.

Love is not easy, it is full of risks. You show your naked soul, you open up, you are vulnerable. But in my opinion being hurt is not the worst thing that can happen. Not to love is far worse! Not to love causes a certain death deep inside of us.

So my dears, my advice to you is : LOVE! Love truly, love deeply, do not be afraid to open up. Yes, they might hurt you, they might leave you. But look how happy you are now. Isn’t life all about the moments we are creating? Create good ones, happy ones, with lots of love.

If someone someday, asks about me

Tell them I have lived to love you.

Before you I only existed, tired and with nothing to give.

My dear, listen to my prayers

I ask you to return, to want me back again.

I  know that one can’t love alone

But maybe slowly you could learn to love again.

If your heart doesn’t want to give in

Won’t feel passion, won’t want to suffer

Without making plans about what might come ahead

My heart can love for us both.”
